Giles Ref WD3097

Cross Breed, 9 month old, Male.

Giles came to us as a stray.

As a stray, we know little about Giles.

He was initially very shy, but is now gaining confidence, and is now a friendly chap.

He is looking for a fun and active home, with a family to take him for lots of walks and to go dog training and maybe agility!

Children 7+

Buster Ref WD3173

Collie X, 1½ year old, Neutered Male.

Buster came to us as s stray.

Therefore little is known about him. Since he has been with us he has been are very busy and active boy - that's the collie in him!!

Buster appears to already be well trained - he knows sit, down, stay and roll-over!

He is looking for a a fun and active family.

Children 7+

Harry Ref WD3196

Terrier X, 8 years old approx, Neutered Male. (Knee height).

Harry was found as a stray.

Why this sweet little chap was a stray is beyond everyone. He is gentle, cute and so lovable.

Little is known about Harry, though he seems a sociable lad as he currently sharing a kennel with another dog.

Children 7+

Tai Ref WD3088

Staffie, 8 month old neutered Male.

Tai has 3 legs!! He had to have a hind leg leg amputated due to a severe fracture. He is coping very well on 3 though.

This cheeky lad came to us as his owner was unable to keep him. He is a smashing lad.

Tai is very sociable with other dogs though loves his own food and toys so would be better as an only dog so that it doesn't become an issue. Further training will be essential

Children Teenage+

George Ref WD3077

Collie X, 10 - 12 years old approx, Neutered Male.

George came to us as a stray.

This absolutely gorgeous, cuddly, shaggy old boy is just so lovable and so deserving of a loving home!

Please don't let his age put you off, he has so much character, he will make a brilliant companion.

Sadly George has a heart murmur and he is a little arthritic, due to this he has an Assisted Adoption Agreement.

He is housetrained, good with cats, dogs, children, travels well - basically a lovely all-round dog looking for a quiet home.

If you feel you can help George then please call us on 01278 782671 for more information, and maybe make arrangements to meet him.

Bruce Ref WD2952

Rottweiler, 7 year old,      Neutered Male.

Bruce came to us as a stray.

Bruce is a FANTASTIC lad - with a superb temperament.

He is a real gentle giant!

Being a stray- little is known about Bruce - though due his lovely temperament we are confident he will suit most homes.

He is a bit overweight so his new owners must clearly understand that he MUST loose some weight.

"Pip the Pom" WD3045

Pomeranian 2 year old neutered male.

Don't I look adorable? WELL I AM NOT!!!!!

I have many behavioural problems that require an extremely patient and committed owner. Although I am ok with children, because of my naughty snappy habits it is better I don't live with them.

I need an active home as my behaviour improves when I have decent off lead long walks. It is likely that any owner will require professional behaviour assistance to eventually turn me into a pleasant little dog to live with.  I may consider living with another dog (but I am very bossy!) and perhaps a nice calm cat that is used to dogs might be acceptable.

PLEASE only contact the Centre if you are able to 100% provide the home I need. Don't be fooled by my looks!!

Sky Ref WD3200

Border Collie X 1 year old, Female.

Sky is a lovely yet shy collie. She was very unsure about everything when she was brought in.

Gradually she has settled, but she will require a committed and patient home that has had experience with shy but active Collie types.

Cats -  Unknown.

Dogs - Yes

Children Possibly 10+

Molly Ref WD3083

Collie x Jack Russell, 10 month old, Female.

She came into us via one of our Inspectors – she was living in unsuitable conditions, having little exercise / attention, and no training at all.

Despite this, she is BRILLIANT with people, extremely friendly and loving, and loves to be with you, she is also a very quick learner. I have spent some time myself with Molly and she very quickly learned sit and come. She really does her best to please you.

She is used to living with cats, and also children from 5 years old upwards.

Molly MUST be the ONLY dog in the household.

Her biggest problem is that she is EXTREMELY UNDER SOCIALISED – this means she is very nervous and fearful of new situations. This is most evident when she meets a new dog – because she has no social skills (as she has never been given the opportunity to meet dogs, and learn how to act) she becomes very scared, and this manifests itself as AGGRESSION towards them.

We are looking for a home for Molly that is prepared to –

Walk her MUZZLED at all times (when in public).

Attend Training / Socialisation Classes.

Put in the necessary work to help her improve.

Be tolerant of her problems, as they are not likely to ever completely disappear.

So, if you think you can offer this lovely dog the chance she never had as a puppy, we would love to  hear from you! Please call the RSPCA Brent Knoll Animal Centre on 01278 782671and ask to speak to Emma or Nikki.
